LaGrange Academy is committed to providing a superior education in a caring, cooperative, and stimulating environment, emphasizing strong moral and ethical values, while instilling a life-long love of learning.

As an independent school, we take seriously our responsibility to offer programs that reinforce our mission of providing a personalized, college preparatory education in a supportive, family environment.

LaGrange Academy is a close-knit, K-12 academic community where we seek to know our students as the wonderful individuals they are. Our goal is to help them develop their unique talents and gifts in the context of our rich and varied program of academics, activities, and athletics.

Simply put, our school is a place where we know your child and what is special about him or her; we emphasize a personalized approach in an intimate and secure environment as we work together to make the LaGrange Academy experience as enriching as possible. We communicate proactively with our students and their parents so that progress can be encouraged and sustained, setbacks can be minimized, and minor issues can be quickly settled before they become bigger problems.

I included the School’s mission statement at the top of this letter because it is so important for us to keep the mission at the forefront of our work together on behalf of our students. A briefer encapsulation of this mission which I like to use is “offering a superior education in a caring environment” because it really seems to capture the essence of what we do here.

Although we hope our site clearly conveys our mission to offer a superior education in a caring environment, I strongly encourage a personal visit to the Academy. Let us show you around campus and introduce you to some of our students and faculty so that you may see for yourself what a special place LaGrange Academy is. If you are new to the city or area, the Academy has information that we would be delighted to share with you.
