During the admission process, a student/candidate makes the following progression:
Prospect
A student assumes Prospect status immediately upon inquiring about the school. Because of your inquiry, you are now receiving an Information Packet from LaGrange Academy. In this packet you will find many documents that you and others will need to complete. You may have received your Information Packet following a tour you have already taken. If at this time you have not taken a tour and would like to do so, please call the school for an appointment.
Applicant
A student assumes Applicant status when the Academy has received the completed application along with the non-refundable application fee ($50). The student is welcome to spend part of the day visiting an Academy class to get a better vision of our school. A student cannot rise beyond Applicant status until the Admission File is complete. A complete Admission File includes a copy of your child's updated transcript (including grades, nationally-normed assessments, and disciplinary file, if applicable), a legible copy of your child's birth certificate, Immunization Form 3231, and an eye, ear, and dental checkup form. The student will be invited to an interview, screening, and/or Transcript Assessment. Both parents are encouraged to accompany the child whenever possible.
NOTE: All applications will be processed based on space availability.
Acceptance
Acceptance status is when the Academy presents you with an acceptance letter and an Enrollment Agreement. This means the Admission File is complete, that it has been reviewed in the Office of Admission, and that the Headmaster has examined the Admission File with all its recommendations. At this point, the school has extended an invitation for enrollment.
You will need to complete and submit the Enrollment Agreement to the Academy (with a reservation fee of $500) within 10 days of date on the acceptance letter.
Enrollment
A student assumes Enrolled status when the Academy has received a signed Enrollment Agreement and you have included the $500 reservation fee, which is refundable if you apply for financial aid, do not qualify, and choose not to enroll. The Headmaster will sign a copy of the Enrollment Agreement and it will be sent to you. At this point, your child is officially enrolled at LaGrange Academy.
