Mock Trial
|
|
On October 15th, 2008, two area defense lawyers, Wes Leonard and Cliff Rhodes, spoke to the tenth grade English class. Currently, our tenth graders are working on compiling a case for a mock trial of “Oedipus Rex.” Students will conduct a trial next week complete with a prosecution and defense team, witnesses, a jury, a judge, and Oedipus himself. Today, Mr. Leonard and Mr. Rhodes taught the students about the progression of a criminal trial and proceeded to work with both the defense and prosecution to help them solidify their cases. We are so appreciative that these two gentlemen took time out of their busy schedules to teach our students these much-needed trial techniques! We will post the outcome of the mock trial on the website homepage soon! View Images of the visit...
