Cory Yancey and Drew Middlebrooks knew that LaGrange Academy needed to be represented in the Christmas Parade.  These two students took the initiative to get other Seniors and Juniors involved in making this a reality.  Their hard work was obvious when you saw the float with its fireplace and “fire,” Christmas tree and presents, snowman, snow and sleds, AND the playing of  Christmas carols.  A highlight for me was watching the enthusiasm of the students and their joy in riding together on the float.  Many of them had been at my house earlier that afternoon packing boxes for “Project SOS” to ship to soldiers.  When we said, “Merry Christmas,” I think we all knew that we really meant it.
