The LaGrange Academy Chemistry Class was recently visited by “Ghosts of Chemistry Past.” Students had to design a tombstone, write an epitaph, create and explain a model, and dress in costume to become their scientist.

Visiting “ghosts” included Orville Wright, Aristotle, Robert Oppenheimer, Enrico Fermi, Erwin Schrodinger, Madame Curie, Sir Isaac Newton, Michael Faraday, Hans Geiger, and others. The students did an amazing job of bringing these scientists to life. Hopefully, we all have a better understanding of flight, radiation/nuclear fission, the Manhattan Project, Newton’s Laws, and many other concepts, thanks to these visiting “Ghosts.”
