Welcome to LaGrange Academy!
At LaGrange Academy, family is the core of who we are. This was evident to me the first time I visited the campus to see this close knit community. There are no locks on the students’ lockers. They trust each other and feel secure leaving their possessions in a locker without a lock. All of our students share the same campus and have ample opportunity to interact during the course of the day, both formally in the classroom and informally in the hallways. During that initial visit to LaGrange Academy, younger students told me how much they enjoyed the Kindergarten- Second Grade reading program where the students in those grades read to each other. It is this type of cooperation that makes LaGrange Academy such a special place for children of all ages.
As a school, we are committed to providing your child with a superior college preparatory education in a caring, cooperative environment that reinforces strong moral and ethical decision making. Our primary goals are to help each student further develop and hone their inherent strengths, while instilling in them a love of learning that will last their lifetime. Students have the opportunity to learn a second language, participate in a variety of arts programs and play team sports.
Our faculty is an integral part of the LaGrange Academy family. Our teachers know and appreciate each child as an individual and strive to help students reach their potential in the classroom, onstage and on the athletic field. Sixty-nine percent of our teachers hold advanced degrees and are life-long learners themselves who are constantly working to improve our students’ educational experience.
If you are a prospective student or parent, I invite you to visit the Academy and learn more about our school family. We welcome the opportunity to give you a tour of our campus and to meet some students and teachers who will welcome you as warmly as they welcomed me. Just give us a call today at 706.882.8097 to take the first step in becoming a member of our LaGrange Academy family.
We look forward to meeting you.
