Summer Camps

LaGrange Academy has a fun summer packed with innovative camp options to choose from! Registration is now open, sign up soon – space is limited!

All camps are held at the LaGrange Academy campus in a safe and caring environment. Each camp director is also a trusted instructor with our school. Important facts about our camps are as follows:

  • Camps are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM. There is no aftercare.
  • Camp Cost is $160 each week (with an exception for the Aviation Camps – see below)
  • Permitted grade levels noted are for the rising grades for the 21/22 school year. Pre-K registrants must be fully potty-trained to participate.
  • Campers need to have a packed lunch, mid-morning snack, and water bottle with them each day.
  • Campers need to dress in comfortable clothing appropriate for the camp they are signed up for.
  • Sunscreen each day is highly recommended and needs to be applied to campers before they arrive each day.
  • Private music lessons are also being offered – see below for more details.

Summer Camps

  • Cost: $200 ea. week
  • Week 1: July 12 - 16 (4th - 8th gr.)
  • Week 2: July 19 - 23 (4th - 8th gr.) **

Have fun learning the basics of aerodynamics! Campers will design a paper airplane for a contest and build a model rocket to launch. Campers will also take a trip to the Lagrange municipal airport to visit with two pilots from the Marine Corp Reserves and tour a King Air aircraft. This trip includes the experience of an actual introductory plane ride in an airplane with Air Ventures of Lagrange. SPECIAL NOTES FOR THIS CAMP:
  • **Strict limit of 10 campers each week. Week 1 must fill first before Week 2 registration will open.

  • The higher cost of this camp is to accommodate for fuel costs for an airplane ride.
  • Cost: $160 ea. week
  • Week 1: June 28 - July 2 (3rd - 8th grades)
  • Week 2: July 26 - 30 (K5 - 3rd grades)

This is a co-ed basketball day camp that will work with all levels of skills, teaching fundamentals for shooting, ball handling, passing, footwork, rebounding, team defense/offense, along with fun competitions and games. Attendees will receive a camp t-shirt, jump rope, and basketball.  Campers will need to come wearing athletic shoes and clothing. Extra drinks and snacks will be available for purchase from the concession stand.

  • Dates: July 26 - 30 (4th - 8th gr.)

Come learn basic menu and recipe planning. Learn and prepare simple recipes such as: rice Krispie treats, drop biscuits, homemade macaroni and cheese, etc. We will also tackle some basic textile crafts such as scarves, throw blankets, and friendship bracelets. Let’s have fun crafting and cooking!

  • Week 1: June 7 - 11 (Pre-K - 3rd gr.)
  • Week 2: June 21 - 25 (Pre-K - 3rd gr.)
  • Week 3: June 28 - July 2 (Pre-K - 3rd gr.)

These action-packed weeks are sure to keep your kids entertained as they explore a wide range of activities. Whether your kids like science, art or anything in between, there is something for everyone in our Fun 2 Learn Camp! Come and be a part of this incredible adventure with STEAM, recreation, arts, and crafts, all with a professionally trained staff. Friday Fun Day:  In addition to the other activities, Friday's will consist of water play and popsicles! Campers will come prepared in swim attire and ready to get wet with group games, sprinklers, and kiddie pools.

  • Grades:  3rd - 6th gr.
  • Week 1: June 7-11 - Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
  • Week 2: June 21-25 - Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
  • Week 3: July 12-16 - Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
Calling all Harry Potter enthusiasts! Join this book club camp to revisit your favorite places in literary magic! Campers may have read the books previously or seen the movies but NO SPOILERS are allowed! The book will come to life by reading through it in a week (three-four chapters a day). Copies of the books will be provided if the children do not have them. Campers will also participate in crafts, science experiments, games, story activities, and maybe a costume day or two. Fun takeaways are included! **Campers that may attend week 2 or week 3 but do not attend the previous weeks will need to have read or listened to the previous books to be caught up with the group - watching the movies will not suffice for the reading requirement.

This fun Lego camp will focus on creative play, free build, maze building, Lego challenge builds, Lego crafts and more! We will also be focusing on incorporating other creative aspects into the various builds. The camp will be located inside and outside the classroom so dress for sun and bring sunscreen. **Please do not bring your own legos**

  • Week 1: June 14 - 18 (Pre-K - 4th gr.)
  • Week 2: July 19 - 23 (Pre-K - 4th gr.)

Our hypothesis this week? That your child will have a stupendous time with science experiments!!  Who says the only summer education your child can have is summer reading? These activities teach awesome and amazing science marvels and your child can do them at home after camp, with a copy of all experiments sent home. Give summer science a try! This camp is meant for middle school students with an interest in competing in mathematical competitions.  We will prepare students to take the AMC 8 this fall which is a national math competition at the middle school level. Each day will involve two problem-solving sessions (morning and afternoon) followed by time for discussion and instruction.  Problem-solving will be broken up by hands-on math-inspired activities which will include applied electronics.  More advanced problem-solving techniques will also be introduced to start preparing students to take the AMC 10/12, should they choose to continue math competitions beyond middle school.

We will explore the world around us through music. We will center on a different theme each day...the Ocean, Dinosaurs, Insects, Folk Music, and Jazz. We will sing, dance, produce rhythms, and learn basic music theory. Come join in the fun!

  • Week 1: June 14 - 18 (5th - 8th grades)
  • Week 2: June 21 - 25 (1st - 4th grades)
  • Director: Coach Ryan Chamblee and Coach Maddy Plemons
Have fun, make friends and improve your soccer skills in a competitive environment. Designed to challenge every player, regardless of skill or position, soccer players will learn many technical and strategic aspects of the game in a way that’s fun and exciting. We will focus on the fundamentals that are key building blocks for intermediate and advanced play.

We also focus on the intangibles of the game including attitude, teamwork, work ethic and playing with passion.

We will be learning the basic skills and rules of Volleyball. Two coaches will be present, so we will be able to work closely with students according to their ability level. Serving, passing, setting, court placement, and rotations will all be priorities in camp. It will be a week full of fun and growth.

Private Music Lessons

Our highly experienced music teacher, Mr. Louis Barnett is offering private music lessons. These are piano, trumpet, french horn, or trombone.
