College Counseling

Our College Counseling Office provides an informative and nurturing environment for transitioning from high school to college. In addition to helping LaGrange Academy seniors identify and research potential colleges, our college counselor and the registrar will also direct academic advising and course selection beginning in the spring of each academic year.

In addition to attending the annual PROBE Fair at LaGrange College, LaGrange Academy Upper School students visit various colleges each year. By participating in this trip each year of high school, students can see approximately 20 colleges before beginning the college application process. While on the campuses, students will attend information sessions and walking tours. The students will also eat on campus as often as possible to observe college life more informally. These schools will allow the students to view various college environments. The trip is still beneficial even if a student is not currently considering one of these schools. By visiting many other schools, our goal is that by the time students apply to college, they will have a better sense of what type of college they would like to attend and a feeling of what college life may be like.
